Yes, the remote - useless - never taken it out of glove compartment. And although the kids love them, the heated rear seats are a bit of a waste of money for the amount of time we need them when they are in the back! Now I wish I had bought demisting (mist resistant - however they worked, I can't remember) wing mirrors - had them on my XC90 but not on this and I really miss them..

Wing mirrors demise with the heated rear screen - at least they do on mine.

Another vote for the remote. Used it once, then later that day tried the voice commands and everything is far simpler. Other than that, I use all the options more often than I expected to. Second place would be the flappies, although unlike the remote I actually use them. It's just that I could do without them just as happily. The only feature I've never used is the DVD player. Never watched in-car films before, not about to start now! But it came with the whole Sensus upgrade I think, so overall that was money well spent.
Everything else on the options list I ticked has been worth every penny. |

Oh wow, I forgot my car had the ICE remote, the buttons on it were too small to be of any use I seem to remember...but equally don't see my kids ever being allowed to go near it! I assume it is in the glovebox lol

I have the Service Managers new XC70 for the day. He just has standard sound and to be honest it sounds great. Not sure the extra for the premium sound was money well spent.
One option that I'm very glad I have is the speed sensitive steering, it is so much niceR for town driving!

It's a bit of old nonsense that I have really got used to having TBH - I find them really good to use.

Contrary to other opinions I use the flappies quite often. Living on the Blackdowns I have to climb up and back 900 ft several times a day. Eco down and use the flappies to help the sluggish auto to downshift when climbing. Lovely auto box for flat and level but lethargic on hill work. So for me a cheap and often used option.

We have a few hills around here and haven't found it lethargic when going up hills, pass most on the dual carriage way as they start to slow down going up the hills.
