Like the first post says taxed till May 2009 and should be MOT'ed next week. My fave MOT tester was off on holiday this week and i really dont want some clown blowing up the engine when he does the full throttle no load emission test - i wont want to be there when he does that bit - that to me is about as close as you can get to extreme cruelty on an older diesel.

regards

I recently spoke to my mot tester at the station I always use about the mot test due Feb '09 on my D24TIC as she has a blown head gasket and such a test might just finish her off. However, he told me that the tests done nowadays do not require cars to have the guts revved out of them. Was he fibbing??

Well my tester who as tested the old bus for the best part 15 years ,earlier this month reved my 200,000 ml 2.5 turbo diesel pug up to the best part of 4000rpm and always has done. It's down right cruel.

They may have to rev them to get the emmisions to settle down low enough to pass even thow the test possibly no longer has to be done at high revs!

Oh, no worries for me then, I frequently get up to 4000rpm in first or second gear to get up hills, lol, it's the 6000 plus I was worried about!

Has anyone heard from DLM48 about this car?

No replies here and no replies to PMs. Does anyone know if it's still for sale?
