Bought the V70 2.5 Auto first in Jan. last year. Then 850 T5 in February. Both excellent cars, but V70 far more economical, smoother, not so fast, but didn't have the bangs and crashes, nor a suspension not up to the power of the engine. 850 T5's should have uprated springs and shocks. Put 850R ones on mine including Nivo's and still wasn't good enough. Could see it becoming moneypit so let it go for a song in December. Guy who bought it off T5D5 said he was going to turn it into a trackday special. Later heard he'd broken it for parts. Pratt!! Was a very good one too!

Got my 2.5 n/a just because it was at the right place at the right time , plus im suppose to be slowing down and ageing gracefully so the misses has said on many occasions, plus the other toy is not so slow being an ST Vectra ,but you never know what will happen next might even stick a turbo on this one yet, as Troy Tempest said anything can happen in the next --------

Cool

I started off with a 99T 2.5 diesel auto v70 had it 4months, then an ex-plod 2004 T5 geartronic on Lpg 2 years 4mths, then a 95N 855 T5 auto which lit the tire's up at the press of the noise pedal, lasted 10 mths and now I have a 53plate D5 v70 All the fun of a T5 but Massive savings on fuel, Diesel all the way!!!!

You trying so say I'm a a wuss?

Cos' I kinda am ;-)

Used to drive an Alfa 164 v6, & felt confident in that. Since I put my V70 2.0 10v in a ditch I've been a bit more cautious......

The other reasons were budget & oppurtunity; budget was £1k, when I got the 70 I wanted 7 seats & when I got the 850 it seemed like the best option for the cash.

I'm thinking of a 2.5T at the minute, but we'll have to see.
