Further to all this, I was looking at an old green book wiring diagram at work yesterday- Is" Regina" the same as LH2.4 for normally aspirated 940s?

I'm more interested in making a lively pleasant road engine than some Dyno-queen that only works above 3000RPM and does 16mpg.
Factory injection seems the logical choice, along with the best factory cams.

Basically de -smogging it!

I'm watching this thread with great interest, currently got a B230A in my car fitted with a Weber 32/34dmtl (ideally wanted a 32/36DGV, but this was free )

I still have the original B21A which I intend to refresh and lightly modify so very interested to see everyone's results of NA tuning

Same here, watching this thread

I`ll be seeing if I can get a few more pony`s out of my B21A

I`ve already got a 405 head which I`ll put my A cam in it and will be ordering a tubular exhaust manifold next month so I can build a 2.5" stainless system.

I`ll be going down the route of a set of weber 45`s

I`m hoping for around 150bhp

I think you'll get to 150 , especially with webers and a decent exhaust manifold . Does the 405 head have injector holes?

Yeah it has injector holes which I'll have welded up.

Back in the early 90's. My b21a had b21e cam , think it was a h , a b23 stromberg carb which had the butterfly knife edged , radiused inlet , etc ( all the carb mods you could do to an su) , pulled pretty good. I never got round to doing the manifold before i stacked it into a land rover discovery...

Considering Foggy James was making 140BHP from a standard B200 with twin 40 solex carbs and a K cam 150BHP is nothing to ask from a B21. I'm sure the power would have jumped up on the B200 by fitting a free flowing exhaust.
