I think it's due to the expansion of the fluid at temperature...I suppose you maybe could if you replaced fluid with fluid of the same temp.

As I understand it it has to be set at that temp range due to expansion and the fluid tied up in the valves and clutch plates. I say this because when I first drained the pan I got over 1 litre out with engine off but you set it with it running until it only drips out.

Hi there,
could anyone tell me what type and grade of fluid to use on my 2014 D4, xc60 AWD. I am about to do a flush and change.
