Nearly happened to me. I still shudder when I think of what might have happened. And that is why I avoid the lane that is closest to a slip road as soon as I am approaching one and head for the middle. Defensive driving - assuming that all other drivers will do the stupidest thing imaginable when you least expect it - will keep you alive/unharmed (and protect your car in the bargain!).

Problem is, nobody wants to wait. Arrogance and impatience are all around. Fingers are waved, tempers are lost. Toys are thrown from prams. Drivers are like feckin children sometimes!

Like a lot of you I DESPAIR at the antics of many drivers, but calm, and a good attitude is the key. I don't care if somebody else gets to where they are going before me. I don't care what they are driving. I'm not impressed by loud exhausts, smirking dickheads, and certainly not by tailgaters. I let them all get on with it.
