Hi Guys
The ebay listing says there are 3 different D5's... Do we know which of his plates fit each engine, and how to identify the right one? Do all react the same with the blanking plates in? D

Hi, this plate fits the 1st series. The plate fits between the egr cooler and the ally pipe that is part of the inlet tube that comes from the intercooler, as clearly shown by Shadyman. The 2nd series has a throttle body(doser valve) in place of the ally pipe. Plus the egr gas cooler is round on the 2nd type, square on the 1st type. Please check out this picture of the series 2 type.
http://us1.webpublications.com.au/st...104358_3mg.jpg I do not have ones for the later models, and how they would react, I do not know. I would say that they would not like being even restricted at all. Regards Bertye Last edited by bertye; Aug 27th, 2013 at 21:52. |

If yours is an '02 you may get away with totally blanking the EGR at the mixer point. I've done this on our '02 and have never had any message or had the EML symbol on the dashboard light up. What's better than slowing the accumulation of the horrible gunk in the inlet tract? Yep that's right, stopping it altogether. |

Agreed - I've install blanking/restrictor plates on all of my turbo diesel cars and Rob(Bertye) has supplied all the plates, excellent quality plates and service.
