Not 4wd but i've been blown away by how well the AWD on the v70 copes. I have driven hundreds of miles over the past few weeks in many untreated roads and its been faultless! (touch wood)

Is that your friend in the drivers seat? ;-)

Well this is my little SK413 that has got me to work and back over the last couple of days, and it has been unbelieveably good. No electronic aids, abs, pas etc, just 2wd/4wd/4wd-LRand chunky tyres.

Left the V70 on the drive and dug it out of a foot covering of snow tonight.

Everyone should get one....

If it is, then he is better off out the car. 4 legs (dogs or cats) are better than 4 wheels.

My Farmer Uncle had a Hillman Imp which he reckoned was great for driving over the fields to take feed to the beasts - especially when he added an extra bail (straw) over the wheels (bootlid was virtually a table!) for extra traction!

When I couldn't make it up the hill at West Dean the other evening, I had to abandon my V70 2.4T and walk it home. All the cars that were driving up the road were 4x4's it was the same the next day in Haslemere, I got stuck several times and the 4x4's were driving around, no problem.

My next car will be a 4x4 either a Volvo or back to a Landy for me.

I have to agree with roys v.
My 960 has not moved for 4 weeks as luckily I also have a 1977 swb series 3 land rover which "does exactly what it says on the tin" it will go thru anything.
