I missed out on the ones on eBay but they were a completely different number.
I think that's why it's important to get the correct part numbers from a Horse's mouth. A lot of time and effort can be wasted otherwise. One number will be the left side headlight and the other will be the right side headlight.

Perhaps try online car breakers as well as E-Bay ?

Good luck, you will find some eventually.

Thanks for the images Onewheel. Lancee I'm fairly certain my car is a pre face lift but it's good to have these part numbers in case I'm offered them.

Cheers George

Hi Stuart, I've checked on ebay and found there is a 8693551 for sale, it's been marked with "53 XC70" on it and the seller says it fits both an XC70 and V70. I'm not sure what the difference is between a 8693551 and a 8693571, possibly the latter is for a 2004 car before the facelift version came along.

I'm tempted to buy it, take the chance and if they don't fit sell them on.

I wish I could help with that mate unfortunately I just don't know your guess is a good as mine .. its not a bad plan though I'm sure it would sell on easy enough seeing as they seem a bit thin on the ground these days

I do know there are a number of variations not just pre and post 'lift but also halogen versus xenon for example, glass vs plastic, etc

Wonder if maybe an idea to message seller and check those things at least? Plus anything else you can think of

Unless one wheel can advise further as he's kind of the resident headlight expert on here

Thanks everyone for your replies and help.

The good news is she's passed the MOT with some headlight deflectors.

In case anyone has the same issues I used Travelspot 92230 Eurolites Headlight Beam Adapters For Left Hand Drive Vehciles Driving In UK from Amazon.

The instructions said for RHD cars but the lady at the company confirmed that was a typo and if the instructions are written in blue they're for LHD cars.

You're correct you did say the winning answer. I wasn't sure that would be allowed, the MoT tester didn't know either and said just to try it. So now if people have the same issue they know it worked for me.

I just assumed that there'd be an allowance for LHD vehicles. Nice when a hunch comes off
