Hi there,
I recently bought a volvo 840 estate 2.5 petrol the driver door wont unlock from the key supplied but fits all other locks cept glovebox. The fob is also missing which leads to my question.I checked my relay and determined i need the #9442983 fob but the trouble is ebay doesnt seems to list part number so a visual of the right fob would be great.Or any info and selecting the right fob just from the pics on ebay.

Thanks for any help

As far as I am aware there is 2 kinds of fobs,1 you can programme your self (which you hardly see on ebay) or 2 the one that you have to get programmed which you see a lot of on ebay.
The one you can programme your self has 1 circle button which is combine lock/un lock, the one you need programming has a seperate lock and un lock and both are next to each other.
Try opening your boot lock to get in for the time being as that will open you central locking.

As far as i am aware this part number is for a kit of one alarm receiver and 2 new fobs.....What you will need to do is to find out if Volvo do a additional fob for the kit..

If you have the combination outlined in Wayne's OP then this should work..What i was trying to establish is that the fob has a part number on it...
