From a 71 brochure.Never had rear belt. I think the Skandix version is ugly.

Perhaps you could fasten it to the hat shelf. You would need to reforcer it with a plate under the shelf. This has been discused previously on this forum. It would look much better than on the C pillar.

It's very odd. I was also thinking that looks to be an earlier car... weren't head-restraints standard by 1971?

Mine is from 1973 and doesn't have them either, no back head rests and no back seat belts but I'm considering to adapt some from a Volvo 340, the seat belts I mean...

Maybe Volvo was cheap and re-used photos from -67
But i have that exact photo in my "oldest" 140-series broachure that is printed in august 1966 (date on cover RK 2376. 8. 66 100.000) And if you look closely on that picture you can date it to model-year 1967 too by looking at the window crank, wich is a one year only design! from 1968 the window crank has a "flatter" design with a bigger knob. And the "tuc´n roll" in the vinyl-seats should be horizontal in 1971-1974 not diagonal like in the picture, that was 1967-1968 only in atleast Europe and US About headrest they became standard in 1969 for the US-market and 1970 in the European-market(atleast in Sweden) prior to that they were an accesory That said i only have brochures from Europe,USA and Canada, no spanish or South-American so im not calling you a liar but i do think its highly unlikely that Volvo would have a special interior for that market when they already have a vinyl-interior in production. Gulp! Sorry folks, I made a mistake. I had the two brochures side by side and mixed up the print dates. The pic is from brochure. RK 2375. 11. 66. 250,000 (USA). Mia culpa.
