wiped of the little pols of mud that form in the corners, door looks great apart from some tiny chips on the rear corner.

You will want everything intact. Its a hell of a job getting the bits out. Easier to leave all intact (except the door liner) and just paint as required.

On the scrapped car they are the multi-spoked ones like yours.

I noticed your post and must admit I was tempted to swap the easy-to-clean alloys on my "new" car for yours, so that I had matching spares. I always fancied having a trailer with matching wheels.

However I am not sure I want to change, they kind of grow on you and seem to suite the more feminine maroon colour, and the tyres are good.

Difficult decision.

Guilty but only by accident. I asked for advice and loads of chaps kept asking for bits. But to be fare I have only managed to "sell" one connector so far. Hardly enough to justify the computer time.

Don't know, is there a thread with good pictures in?

But I don't want to sell the wheels off the old car, I like them too much, that and the tyres.

Now if you want an olive green bonnet without stone chips I am your man, I think it was re-sprayed not long before I had it, and seemed to stay in good nick. The red car has loads of chips.
