Said it before, no straw & chickens, not genuine 'barn find'.
Often "Cylinder removed for inspection" is a euphemism for "The head gasket went, i pulled the head and ran out of skill" or "i pulled the head and discovered something horrific".
Either way not a great scenario although the car itself looks pretty tidy.

All these barn finds are a bit tiresome.

That's a rather lovely (and rare) thing. Hopefully someone manages to pick it up at a reasonable price and get it sorted out!

cheers

Just been looking at the Anglia Car Auctions results for the weekend just gone, as the rather nice 145 that didn't sell last time was going over the block again.

Didn't sell.......

Anyway, I did spot a rather nice looking '89 760 GLE Estate that sold for £6588 inclusive of buyers premium.....

https://www.angliacarauctions.co.uk/...le-estate-auto

'69 Amazon 122s went for £8856

https://www.angliacarauctions.co.uk/...2s-coupe

Always good to see some actual prices paid.

Cheers

I hear you. Here's a recently bereaved estate in need of a new owner:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/334621191841
81k miles.... er, add a one to that mileage:
https://cartaxcheck.co.uk/free-car-c...y/?vrm=F364PTP
...and check the horror show of the MOT history too.

Bidding going beserk, so obvs. demand for 240s...

Someone pressed the trip reset button with the car moving between 2014 and 2015 from the look of it!

In fact, it looks like the trip reset button is jammed in............

Seems like the bare minimum has been done each year to get it through the test!

A not-rodded PV544, looking remarkably original and probably in need of a good zinc-oxiding under that lovely but bubbly paintwork.

An as I'm going quite off-road, so to speak, here's an early Volvo SUV. Lol.

...well, it has a redblock.

The 544 is interesting, but will appeal to a miniscule audience. It is younger than GAM, but looks like it came from a previous generation of motor cars.

It will be interesting to see what it sells for (I can't help thinking eBay in November isn't the best place and time to sell a motor car like that).

:-)
