I went and got some more mig gas and back on with the repairs. The inner wing repair took a bit of effort to get it to blend nicely with the old wing. The repair panel is a bit roughly made so takes a bit of fettling to fit nicely. Bottom sections still to be repaired.

The wee lower cowl repair done. I was going to use the front section of the outer sill repair panel but they're only 0.6 to 0.7mm thick so instead I used a bit of the left over inner wing repair panel which is something like 1.2mm thick. Only a few wee repairs left.

Also helpful if you're welding to thinner metal as you can concentrate the ehat on the thicker 1.2mm stuff.

Looking very respectable.
I notice you use the words 'wee repair' frequently. Add up a lot of wee repairs and after a while its not so wee anymore. That is the 140 restoration dilemma. It looks wee until you start scraping away the undercoating and then it turns into whoa! |

Got her back together, still needs some tweaking. The NOS wing needed some tweaking and isn't great along the door edge. All in all not a million miles off.

This FB site does have some positives at least..... I think this is this is a very similar repair that you've just done Mitch, must be a common weak spot, and one that's now making me nervous
