Sadly, it'll be de-engined for the Delorean crowd and in all probability scrapped:

you don't see redblocks going for that sort of money!
I'm going to pretend they put one too many zeros on the asking price and even then £2500 is ambitious! That's a £200 engine at the most.... Probably has blown headgaskets and that's why it was converted to an electric motor... Maybe he is asking for the price of the electric conversion 🤣

Increasing the Mass would affect the equation , relativity speaking.

Either that or turbo it, but ion-drive is probably easier...

We know how valuable Deloreans are, and how pathetically fragile the V6 engines were. With Non-rusting tinwork, it stands to reason there are a lot of cars with knackered engines still extant which would be massively increased in value by the addition of a working original engine.

Thus, any non-knackered examples of B28 engines have a value way beyond what you'd expect, because it could be the difference between a £5k non runner and a £50k runner (I pulled those numbers out of my arse but you get the idea).

If they all become historic by 2026, hopefully some of those SORN cars are just hibernating...

How many of those are manual though? I know on the 760/765, there were no UK autos - a 5 speed manual could be lifted from a Talbot Tagora V6, Pug 505 V6 and possibly 604 (don't think they made any manual 604s though) but try finding a Tagora or 505 and then try finding a V6 version!

The 265 in that ebay listing has the M41 overdrive manual, rarer than a purveyor of Pegasus-poop!

Indeed there was - a pre-production model no less. I don't know if Volvo even offered manual as an option once they went into production though.
