I think you might be onto something about the spring - I didn't think it looked that old so maybe it was replaced with a different one. Getting the whole strut and doing both sides, that should sort it

Let us know how you get on with it and have yourself a swear bucket as you might get verbal diarrhea whilst trying to undo the bottom bolt lol

Took her a few steps closer to impending semi-retirement.

Replaced the passenger side wing mirror glass. It wasn't cracked but the defrost/demist element wasn't working. It is now.

Broke my splitter as well in a small offroading excursion for a laugh. Only the middle bit so I'll get another ordered.

Fitted roof bars (thanks to Matt86)!

Fitting them was slightly terrifying since the threaded part of the roof looked EXTREMELY thread-stripable. Tightened them as far as I dared and used the end of whatever the nearest-to-hand loctite, so hopefully they'll stay!

Cleaned the leather seats with some leather cleaner/conditioner which smells HORRIBLE! The car stank before of whatever over-scented dash-cleaner the previous owner used, and now it stinks of leather wax. Drat.

Do not use the leather wipes from Aldi!
