I'd like to echo the good wishes of others. That is one tasteful conversion; I've always thought that the Amazon is particularly suited to lowering ( visually ) and yours proves it! If you were able to hold out a few months might I suggest that you get in touch with a magazine like 'Modified Motors' and get them to do a feature?

If you could get it into something like that ( with a footnote that it's for sale ) it might help to reach the people who are really interested, and help get you the kind of price you want. Just a thought, it's certainly magazine quality and so are the pictures. Hope I'm not interfering, just something that came to mind.

Best of luck,

Tony

That's a damn good idea, I like that. Retro Cars may well be interested as well, they've featured an overbored 240 GLT saloon before now and a 144 that races in California.

James, if you're intending to put Torq Thrusts on a 164, they will probably have to be special order, since AFAIK, they're not available in that stud pattern

That's quite a good point...the ones my mate had for his 142 were bolted to a Ford 9" rear axle...oops!

I think you can get Revolution classic 5 spokes in the Volvo 164 pattern up to 15 inch. Similar but (IMHO) even nicer.

Ok after a lot of soul searching, number crunching, scrimping and saving I have decided that I am going to keep her and get her finished…

Its an old universal classic type, i got one off ebay a few years ago but have since sold it, they do turn up every so often.
