Following on from this and other threads I searched out the local Hunter alignment service.

And
They are only set up to align Landrover products.
The local Volvo dealers have been a bit quiet on 4 wheel alignment.

Suggestions please

It may have originally been developed for a landrover but they are compatible with all cars as they have a database with all model specific alignment specs.

Rear end can usually be adjusted so might not always be bushes.

It's not the make of the Machine , it is the quality of the staff where ever they are .. the principles are all the same ..

Does anybody have any comments on this and advice as to what to do? Or trusted locations to have the work done in either Cheltenham/Gloucester area or Stafford area.
I have found more often than not that the cause of this is running low tyre pressures for extended periods .

I would urge caution if using Kwik Fit, having just had an extremely bad experience recently, which resulted in a formal complaint.
In my case neither the centre manager or the fitter realised that my car had the lane departure system on board, so aligned the wheels without question. My V60 ended up with completely misaligned wheels and steering wheel, and handled ridiculously badly on the road.
I went to my Volvo dealer, who, thankfully, sorted everything out. Never ever again shall I trust a non-Volvo facility with such adjustments.
Good luck!

wimorrison - re
" Somebody has spun you a lot of spherical objects "

Who / where in Hampshire would you suggest I go to get a 4 wheel alignment?

Re the response from the Landrover dealers who did not want to calibrate the XC60 - I think it was a fear of the unknown, and perhaps not having an alien vehicle visible on their premises.

There is another garage who I have used for Laser alignment of a Saab, would their equipment be capable of checking the vehicle and getting the tracking corrected?
They are not a "Saab garage" but work on all makes.

I have found Snow's in Winchester to be very helpful, though I actually use Squire Furneaux in Pirbright for my Volvo and have done for many, many years

The place I have used to 4 wheel alight the Landrover, MX5 and Clio was Kwikfit in Alton and I have no issues with the work that the did on those cars.

As long as you Saab dealer is competent he can use his equipment on your XC60 as the equipment is generic and is most idiot proof these days- as long as they can type the registration correctly the settings for the car will be imported and all they have to do is what the alignment tool tells them - it will even show them a picture of the nut the have to adjust
