Good luck with a sale !
yea it is a nice looking car, ebay appears to be full of time wasters and people bidding are just messing about with no intention of buying, i would say that £550 to £650 is a good price maybe less if you need a quick sale? i would try carandclassics its free to advertise and a bigger audience. threatening to scrap it doesnt do any favours, makes people think theres something wrong with it.
having said that, i wouldnt let it go for peanuts maybe leave it with someone to sell on your behalf?

If this car is as good as the description says it is, I think it's worth £1k to the right buyer. The cost of fixing up a car with even small areas of rust will easily exceed the increased asking price for this car over a 'typical' example of the same age...and it's quite common to see fairly scruffy cars advertised for £7-800 (at garages, admittedly).

I guess the problem is not so much the asking price, but finding that right buyer on a tight timescale.

cheers

James

I think this might need clarifying if you are wondering why people in the UK are not interested.

um ok, not sure why?? The car that I have for sale here is the one featured in the ad, nothing else. As I said, I'm in Portsmouth/Gosport and so is the car. I own others, but I didnt bring them with me to the UK and they are not for sale. Any questions?

It's not the '85 he's selling.

It's the '92.

I don't see a problem with a £1000 asking price, it's in nice condition, rare paint colour, rare B230F/M47/LH2.4 injection combo, ABS, and a fair few optional extras on it too. Woodgrain trim especially is rare as hell on a RHD car. If I was in the market for a new car I'd consider this one hard.
