Isn't there an "angle bevel" type thing on these behind the gearbox that has fluid?

Bled the brakes today.

Good opportunity to give the alloys a good clean, inside and out, whilst off the car.

I have swapped the front 318mm brake setup to the optional 336mm setup after getting some bits and bobs.

Has made an improvement and I am now satisfied the brakes are up to the performance levels suitable for a car running 330 ponies. Still need bedding in some more.

A worthy upgrade for the costs.

Lovely car.

I've the D6 PHEV (hence username) and I've it tuned to 345bhp and 736nm torque. Have her for 2 years now, and have averaged 63.9mpg over the last 35,000 miles! Having my cake and eating it comes to mind!

Anyways, a couple of questions.
Is that an app that you used to test your times? If it is, what is it?
And your brakes. What did you go for? My car has the 17.5" braking system (according to my main dealer), and she'll be due a change of discs and pads in the next 12 months. I'd love an upgrade, but no idea where to go.

Thanks.

I meant 316mm not 318mm

App is called "DRAG RACER" on google play.

VIDA calls the 336mm which I have now fitted the 17.5 inch system. No idea where they get that from, because 17.5 inches is 444mm.....

If you have the 336mm system, I suppose, the only way to go is Polestar stuff or aftermarket stuff which is over 1k. I looked at them hard.... but the cost was off putting. I think the 336mm is up to the job now.

That's serious mpg! Is that a polestar tune?

Yeah, couldn't figure out the measurements, which is why I always turned away from doing anything! But I've been quoted €1000+ for discs and pads all-round by my main dealer, so I'm figuring a nice set of cross-drilled and grooved rotors would look nice. Would also like some Polestar blue caliper paint. Everyone does red. Blue would have people wondering!
The mpg is good alright. Do a good bit of running around, which is obviously all done on leccy. Then the diesel for the longer journeys. It's an ideal car for me to be fair.
It's a rica tune from the Netherlands. Twas the best value for money. Think the Polestar upgrade was around €1500. The Rica one was around €700 including the iso softloader.

Default Paddles

Fitted these over the last few days

https://youtu.be/8sraLZXyxK0

Followed this handy guide

https://www.swedespeed.com/threads/m...d-knob.607449/

Saved a few pounds using my original steering wheel and hacking/drill (wasn't my finest work) some holes to fit the paddles.

It was plug and play and cost just over £300. The most expensive thing was buying the Polestar gearbox module (had to get that to get my illuminated gearstick to work). If I just had the normal black one I could had got a 2nd hand gearstick (2014+) of ebay for around 70 quid.

Much better driving experience. Happy upgrade.
