Decided on the Continentals in the end. Fitted last week on new Volvo alloys. Timing could not have been better. After today's gales am thinking of fitting a spinnaker next. Could save a fortune on diesel

Good point, but as every other change over will most probably tie in with a new set of tyres on my annual mileage of say 18,000 miles when the change will be part of the "normal" tyre replacement cost anyway - well, thats my theory.......

As a Director of the county's largest Fence Manufacturing Co, I just love gales - anything over 65 mph is good for business. Today we took orders for over 10,000 fence panels for your part of the country - mainly to B&Q & Builders Merchants in the Scottish Central region. Just a shame those gales did not make there way down to the prosperous South East..!!

Just put back on my Conti WinterContacts on Monday, had them last year as well, local tyre charged me just €30 all in to swap.
Had them on last year as well, cannot believe the difference between them and the Pirellis
that came as standard I really believed there was something wrong with the car the first time I drove in snow with the Pirellis.
You won't regret picking the Contis,
Good luck.

Default Switched back to Summers already..............

What happened to the UK Winter.
It's gone & with Spring in the air all last week plus daytime temperature today of 16C I decided to switch my "Winters" back to "Summers" today.
Did not really get much of a chance to try out my Nokians this winter.......
