As a general rule of thumb, to which there may be some exceptions, the 2017 MY S90 was built in Sweden, then from the 2018 MY S90 production was moved to China.

If I recall correctly, S90 production moved out of Sweden at least in part to make way for XC60 production moving into Sweden from Belgium as the SPA platform XC60 replaced the P3 platform XC60. I do remember seeing a film about the last P3 platform XC60 to roll off the production line then being shipped from Belgium to Sweden to join the Volvo Museum collection.

These changes all happened in Spring 2017, and it is hard to believe it was six years ago already!

Just had a thought: Paul Wildsmith, the SPA Platform Register Keeper, has a 2017 MY S90 which I am 100% certain would have been built in Sweden rather than in China.
