Getting there.. For some inexplicable reason, engines from 5 tonne recovery trucks do not bolt straight in to Volvos! Engine itself will be relatively easy but I'm having to re-engineer how the clutch is actuated in order for it to fit in the tunnel (it's cable, and a 'pull' clutch) using a slave cylinder mounted behind the cut down arm to make it hydraulic. I've given myself about 3 months to get it to MOT standard, which should be achievable. I've got a project thread for the car on here somewhere so I will dig it out and keep it updated once there's some actual progress. The main limitation will be finances..
Which reminds me.. Buy my stuff please ![]() |

No, the gearbox is awful and only good for weighing in so I have had no qualms about cutting bits off of it to adapt for the Iveco conversion

Have you got a picture of the flywheel on the back? I'm after one for a B230ET, but maybe Volvo used the same kind for the B230E.

It's obviously never going to please purists, but I like it http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=83833 ![]() |

Hi
Looks like the blue paint on the engine is the same as the blue on the front of the car. Is the engine still available as i have been thinking of fitting a 2.3 in one of mine. Has the car been converted to round headlamps as the mounts look like the round type which i reccon gave a better light than the original rectangular type. |
