Oh yeah, I misread that, I dont think it is possible to get the 6cd working in a car that came with a single, not sure.

Does anybody know which changer mechanisms are compatible with the xc90. I have been checking eBay but they're very expensive. My XC90 is a 2005 and the dash changer says Mitsubishi Electrics on the case. My thoughts are that there will be a few units out there which would have the internal mechanism that will fit the unit. A GM part is mentioned in this thread. Thank you in advance

Universal instructions for changing CD mechs:
Remove unit from vehicle and place on workbench Remove covers from unit Unscrew CD mech retaining screws Unplug CD mech Remove CD mech Reassembly is a reversal of the above Note that if a new CD mech has a shipping screw locking the mech, this must be removed before fitment.
