totally agree- I didn't realise the light was only on for a few seconds!
If it's that short an interval it's not likely to be the gasket.

it's been like it since i bought the car last march, but only now i've got it checked by volvo - didnt really see it causing much of a problem but thought as the car is booked in i'll ask them to have a look.
the service was at volvo, so obviously the oil filter was genuine, and oil was what they recommend. but volvo thinks it the oil pump gasket, and an indy thinks that its pipes in the sump. both about £200 for each repair.. and still not guaranteed to work. so thats why im hesitant with the repair! |
