The "rumour" I read was that it was only 1st and 2nd gears AND it was ONLY P2 V70R AWD pre face lift ( I did not read the same about the S60 R AWD although I tend to read little about them )and NOT any other auto boxed V70/V70XC.

No 3rd gear and above 16 psi boost is available. But you may not see it as it's all torque dependant . The ecu will only ask for what boost it needs to reach the required power. You may only see 16 psi in 4th and above under heavy loads such as going uphill.

All s60 and V70 r are torque limited. Even the early 850 r and V70 r were torque limited in 1st and 2nd gears on the autos.
