Map Update - Page 2

Click on the download for your system, (windows or mac) on my windows laptop the download appears at the bottom of my screen, I click on that to tick open when download complete, when it opens I select download to usb, select your usb drive and start.
Ensure your usb drive is completely empty before starting.
Dowloads do not work with my tablets only on laptop or pc.

Thanks for the responses. So finally managed to down load on to empty USB stick. Put in the car to get another error message.

Can anyone tell me what files are on the USB, after download I’ve now got 2x zip files and another document.

Still no joy. Even after trying to unzip the files.

When I did the latest Europe/UK files update the other days, the 3 files are as per the attached.
Did you reformat/delete everything on the USB first & then reformat it as MS-DOS Fat32?

Thank you. Yes USB is new out of the packet and formatted. Downloaded as per above and instructed online and get the same files as you saved to USB.

The car won’t acknowledge the files on the USB.

Unable to help further as I am making assumptions on your car type/MY, etc

It would help if you could extend your below signature with some more relevant car info!

My car is not giving me the option to download over the air saying that it is too big, even though it is for Austria and Switzerland which is one of the smallest maps ?!

Well then do it on a USB stick.

The present download is too large it wants to update other areas as well as your home area, or maybe some otner system update as well, I updated the western europe map via USB but Sensus is still showing a download available and saying too large for over the air, its the same 1233 download but for all areas or other add on. Ignor it and use a USB for your area or download the whole map to get rid of it.

You should not have another document file on the usb. Delete everything and try again.

Agree thanks. I only raise this because previously I updated the same map OTA without any problem.

In response to SwissXC90: I know the USB key option, it’s just easier to let it update automatically
