Let me check my stash as i may have bought more than required.
If not i will get the part number but pirtek typically just sell from the display identified by the thread form and barb size

Thanks - just had a look on CVI's site, but I think my pump looks more like the complete units that they sell new for all of £3 more than the Pierburg rebuild kit. The kit may also fit my repro type, but for that money I'm no sure what would be the better option.

However, regarding the discussion about the glass topped ones, I do have a spare one of those, and whilst more expensive, CVI list a rebuild kit, and also the parts to run it with hoses rather than metal pipes

The advantages of the glass top is you can immediately see debris, water or air trapped in the system. It's quickly cleaned by the side of the road using the thumb wheel that retains the clip.
and as Russ says, the idea of being able to see whether there is fuel flow etc is very useful, so am rather tempted to go down that route instead now, as and when it is required. Russ - if you could find the direct link to the Pirtec conversion parts, that would be fab, as I don't fancy paying CVI's price for a pair!!

Btw, would the fuel pipes steel or copper (or perhaps either)? As a D&T teacher, it upsets my OCD to be unspecific and just say 'metal'...!!

At the moment it still is - touch wood!!

Oh, and no repeat of the fuel flow issue again since my first post on this thread. It definitely wasn't too low on fuel as I drove to and from work the day after the initial problem before I next filled up, and that's a 38 mile round trip over the Downs. As such, I'm currently putting it down to Gremlins...

Thanks all for the tips & info
