Its manual and Steven is local to me and its bloody lovely and must be killing him to sell. If I hadn't done a deal on a car myself I would have been interested, though seeing it about would have been hard for him.

Your right about that Simon but if it goes to a good home i will be happy. As for village it's done 200,000 but most of it has been motorway miles. Has been serviced regulary every 6000 miles oil and filter change. Has had the injectors done, has no fault codes, runs perfectly no idle issues, starts first time every time, no oil leaks at all, and never uses a drop of oil between changes. No noises from dif, gearbox or engine. Turbo is perfect no smoke on start up, intact other than financial issues it would not be for sale, and if it wasn't for the need to transport the grandkids and family about the galaxy would be the one for sale not the 940.

I notice your location is Brampton, looking at multimap is that Rotherham area or Cambridgeshire? I'm in York for info.

I could be quite tempted as although I love my 760 (auto), I think I'd prefer a manual ideally and I'd hope a 940 sport might be a bit of a sharper drive (although the 760 makes a good 'limo' ride that said and is fun to waft around in ).

My 760 has done 160k so yours is more, but like mine it sounds like yours has been well kept. Any interior pics?

Such a shame, the car pic look great and its has clearly been loved, 200,000 mile is nothing if its been well cared for and the parts you use should last another 200k....rare car!

If you have any other spares that you could sell laying about?

Good luck with the sale, those interested be quick as he might change his mind or someone else might pip you to the post!

It truly is an awesome car and very well maintained !! I am as we speak trying to persuade him NOT to sell as I know he will deeply regret it, but i do understand his predicament

Ahhh... stupid multimap - it ought to give you the 'options' of which to pick! Hmm thats quite some distance, 124 miles and 2.5 hours drive in one direction... I could be very interested in the car although would need more pics and for you to be definately sure you wanted to sell to travel that far. You must be gutted even considering selling it but I can understand why

I'm also interested in the body kit, not sure how it'd look on the 760 but I'd assume it would fit. If I bought the 940 I'd definately like it!

To be honest I'd be surprised if it was much faster than my 760 (mines a 182BHP 230ET i.e. without cat) as it really does go like **** off a shovel when in the right revs and once the turbos spooled up nicely. If I remember correctly the 940 sport was 190BHP with the overboost? rather than the 165BHP in the standard 2.3 HPT. Having said this it being manual would make a big difference and presumably by '95/'96 they improved on the 80's turbo lag

The bodykit depends on if yours is the facelift front or not. If it is the facelift front then yes it will fit no problem, if it is the earlier 740 then the side skirts will fit but not the front spoiler.
And no there is no turbo lag on these, the turbo gives a constant pressure all the way then over 5000 rpm the overboost comes in.
