I do hope that it is good news next week for you and it would be great to see some pictures once it has arrived. There does seem to be a compete shortage of information or news surrounding the XC60 R designs since all the press releases back in March.

10 day turnaround from it landing with the supplying dealership? Christ, that is rubbish, what are they doing rebuilding it?

Ours was about 2-3 max.

i have found out our our cost waiting for two toyotas at the moment

dealers are no longer allowed to tax on site must be ordered from the dvla
in the post

so you can add best part of a week

they get car
ask for your insurance
send for tax disc

posted to dealer or in some cases lease company then dealer

It seems odd that the dealer says this. One of the only MY14 videos available clearly shows a LHD R Design driving on the "wrong" side of the road (and it's certainly not in the UK!)

Absolutely valid as the paperwork needs to be processed, it needs to be assigned to a delivery schedule that matches with a truck heading for your locality, then it has to be accepted and delivered to you.

if you are lucky and a delivery is planned for your area then it may arrive sooner, sad to say that whilst the car is your (or will be) pride and joy to the delivery system it is just another product and it will be delivered in line with the agreed service levels.

Mine was at the dealers on the Thursday. I picked it up the following Thursday as that was the earliest I could get there.
It was taxed, said dealer on the disc. It has taken me 3 weeks to get my personal plate assigned to it though.
