The early ones, as this is, had the reverse intercooler which is supposed to produce better performance. It is also only BADGED as a T5. If you look at the registration document it will probably say 2.3 Turbo. It didn't become a fully fledged T5 until 1995, so yes it is rarer than the later T5's.
Also i don't think there is any need to jump down the guy's throat re price and pictures. A simple request would have done

£600 , and how can you make a 5 month mistake in the length of MOT
I'll offer £350 if it's a manual

Best of luck with sale - you'll generate more interest by putting pictures up here though.

try checking your V5, you might find your 94 car is actually listed on the logbook as a 850 Turbo, and not a T5! it is the same car yes, but they were called Turbo and not T5 until late 94/95

So, does the 850 turbo have a T5 badge on the boot?

Ah right, ok. I thought they were all just a basic T5 I was just quoting what was said to me on the forum. Many thanks.

I have two Volvos - that's how mistake arose. If only I was perfect too. £350 will do as a deposit.

I only payd £350 for my manual with long mot and tax two years ago without the problems your car has, it was a serious offer before you said it was an auto.
