  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

I think a volvo D5 is a pretty good choice despite the Govt. choosing to tax it like diesels are a plague.

I bought a cheap but tidy 2008 Mercedes B180 CDI 10 weeks ago. Drove it up the motorway and thought it funny that it started off nippy and quick enough, after a few miles it still drove well but power seemed to have gone. Turbo was faulty. Currently going through Trading Standards complaint as dealer refuses to honour his alleged 6 month comprehensive warranty! car sat on my drive. Went out and with much more caution bought a 2006 Volvo S40 2.0D, love this car! drives so well (so far anyway) it was also cheaper and in better condition. Just back from Sth Yorks > Edinburgh round trip. Car was a pleasure to drive it has power and comfort. Wish I had taken more time to buy and looked around more. The moral of this story is obvious....
