It doesn't need to be "Volvo" fluid - just needs to meet that spec - JWS3309.

Dexon III or whatever, which are frequently used by garages as generic ATFs, are not correct for this gearbox. If he puts this in, walk away from the sale, as it will probably gum up your TC and solenoids, if they aren't already.

I would buy the fluid myself and if I can't do it will get a local garage I use to do it and supply the fluid. There is a garage what specialise in Volvo not far from me.

I dont think their is a drain plug.
Its pull a shaft out i think

There is a top up bolt hole, but no drain

After someone on here recomended it, I just bought this, arrived today so will be doing a drop shortly

Actually 5 little ones are better, for carting waste to recycling place (Drain)!!

er.. 5 bottles divided by 2 per hump= 3 with a hand to spare on final hump...
