Here goes. Good memory test for a 67 year old!
Ford Cortina MkIV estate. 1.6GL (Nice family car) Talbot Horizon 1.3LS (The alternative on offer was a Morris Marina!) Ford Escort Mk3 1.3GLS 2 door (nearly passed off as an XR3i. Haha) Ford Orion 1.6DGL (Gutless. Good example of why a Diesel needs a turbo) Ford Sierra 1.6L (temporary car) Ford Sierra 2.0GLS (Great fun, until it snowed) Audi 90 2.2 (Sales manager of the year award, great prize) Ford Sierra 2.0GLS (Such great fun, I had another) Audi 100 2.0 SE Estate (Classy, Felt I'd arrived) Mercedes Benz C200 Sport (Over-rated) Ford Mondeo 2.0L Ghia Estate (Off the fleet when I joined a new company, a welcome surprise. Nice car) Saab 9.5 SE 2.0 (original, before Dame Edna Everage update. Great car) Audi A4 Avant 2.4 V6 SE petrol (Another great car) All the above were company cars, then I retired at 55 Nissan Primera 2.2DCi (Ugly but likeable and so reliable) Volvo V50 2.0D SE (I liked it a lot, didn't like vulnerable aircon issues) Volvo V40 1.6D Cross Country (Nice car, if a bit small. Wish I'd gone V60 auto) Suzuki Vitara 1.6 SZ5 Petrol Auto (Great value, fully loaded reliable motor. It just needed some Volvo seats!) Volvo XC60 2.4 D4 SE Nav Auto (So far so good albeit thirsty! Luckily I'm low mileage) No "fun" cars. I had mountain bikes for that. Last edited by feltorange; Mar 3rd, 2021 at 13:22. |

I’m 52 and still gainfully employed. I passed the test in 1986. I have owned six cars since then. Four of them I still own and use regularly; including, until working from home became a thing, a daily 50 mile round trip commute.
