Default calm down, calm down!

Pardon me Jimbob; the queries raised by both me and Jeff_T were neither unreasonable nor accusatory. It’s a shame that you took them as such.

We just requested some clarification as to why the car offered for sale appears to be a base-model body with turbo running gear – something that neither Volvo UK press releases nor sales brochures (therefore, not made up but pretty credible forms of research) state was possible to order at the time. That's all.

It was not my intention to timewaste and pick holes in your car; it's annoying, when you are the vendor and, yes, it has happened to me.

I am genuinely looking to buy a 460T but, after reading your retort, I don’t think I’ll bother with the car that you (and/or your friend) are selling.

Talking

That's not a problem at all it saves me ( and/or my friend ) watching you walk round it kicking the tyres.

It doesn't matter how you dress it up it was casual ruinous chatter.

And by the way jeff says thanks for your last post.

I wonder can the original spec of the car be gained somewhere online or otherwise like a BMW etc? There are some anomalies that crop up with cars with odd spec; perhaps down to customers personal taste/request etc.

I think the car looks super clean and genuine and I wish you the best of luck with the sale.

Well, I'm happy to say that the car is no longer for sale! It's been added to my fleet. I've known the car for a while, and it's an absolute corker. I couldn't justify buying it previously, but helpfully someone T-boned the Honda Accord coupe that the present Mrs Boaty uses as a winter car when it was going for MOT...and the insurance has written it off.

So, this chap is going to step into the breach. Even as a winter car it will lead a pretty pampered existence - garaged, cosseted, and it won't go out in the nasty stuff, we have a Lexus RX for that and for longer journeys. Plus I'll get to play with it in the summer months when Mrs Boaty is tarting around in her Eunos.

No major changes planned, it's original bar the wheels and will stay that way - with the exception of a nice Alpine head unit and probably a stainless exhaust. I'm looking forward to enjoying the forum too!
