I reckon that you've got a point there....that is that people can't be bothered working on them:-) I've found it relatively easy so far, bit low on the old back hence the pain!! Te...he Maybe that's what's meant I dunno but what the "L" mine's going sweet as a peach just now with 194k miles on the clock, so I ain't complaining:-)

That's it I'll get a stool before I start working on it.

Did a quick 44 mile run today to pick a 28" TV for a very nice old couple. They wanted a new one so a trip to a wholesalers was called for.

The box slipped into the back of the Afghan without any problems and I didn't even have to drop the back seat down.

It's a joy to have all that space in the rear to play with.

Our with our last car we had to take the TV out of the box to get it to fit in the rear seat :-)

The next thing you know people will be asking me to move furniture for them :-(

Gerry.

Default Aircon.....(More)

Hi Gerry,

Just came from a non franchised repair shop today after the car decided to "hunt" all over the place on Idle, turns out it was dirty PCV valve., cleaned with carb cleaner and all back to normal(Phew!!!)

However my air hasn't worked since I bought the car so I bit the bullet to have it repaired and asked how much?......a whopping great £84 quid, damn! I bit his arm off!!! and guess what all nice and cool again:-)Yipeeee!!

I doubt very much that mine looks better than yours Te....He :-)

You haven't had half the problems I had ......Yet:-)

Try looking thoroughly underneath the car, particularly the corners on all the seams, and look in the Front Wheel arches again on the Seams that run down the inner wing close to the Bulkhead, unusually the seam is to the outside therefore it allows water to get between the metals and lift it, then starts the ol' Tin worm!!!!

I had 10 holes all the size of a 50pence piece on the drivers side pan only, that was all cut out and re welded with new metal. The seams on the Bulkhead had lifted and started to rot into a small hole!! All this was discovered one day prior to MOT :-( Not to worry though I knew an EXPERT car restorer/Welder who worked wonders on making the car look original and factory again!!! :-) :-)

This was really the worst problem, Oh! and then the was the tank sender developing a pin hole and ****in' out petrol on to the street!!
Done that one, GAWD what a nightmare... By some strange coincidence ther was an 940 estate in the breakers and some kind sod had removed the tank and pump but left the sender lying complete with wiring !! So I helped myself to it ... and It Works:-)!!!!!

So there you have it, Just some things to look forward to :-)
