Hi Russ,

restoration costs must be probably one third or even less compared to UK price levels. I do have a a 65' VW Bug and my mechanic charges less than Ł20 per hour. I am still trying to find a proper Volvo place for the future p1800...once I have experienmce I can share it with you guys.

Hi Jorzez, thanks for the link, nice car, do you have any price info? i could not find it.

I am still struggling to determine how much would be the reasonable price for this yellow baby....1st owner (on paper 2nd, but it stayed in the family)...1972...reasonable mileage (app 138.000 miles)...automatic...original paint...no modifications...always kept in a dry garage...no rust....kept really nice...everything functional except for the airconditioner...

hm...

thanks

LHD shouldn't be any sort of influence on the value, unless you want to sell in a RHD country - which you don't. The auto box will however - there's not too many who prefer the automatics - they're not well regarded tbh. The side repeaters would probably put off some European buyers too.

I'd like an auto. If your not interested and it's still coming to Europe I could be interested. Doesn't seem much chance of getting a RHD auto here.
