Then a remap, or get a spare exhaust then de-cat it and replace the silencer with a smaller larger bore unit

get a K&N induction kit, surprising how much they help the car breath
What is a smaller larger bore unit?

I think what he meant was to get a physically shorter silencer, but one that has larger bore pipework to allow better gas flow through it.

EDIT - oops just noticed the date on that last post

In order to decat it'll need the map altered to delete the rear O2 sensor, plus the vehicle will fail an MOT as presence of the CAT is becoming a testable item, in fact I have a feeling that rule may of started as of this month, since last year it was an advisory. Even if it passes an MOT the car won't be road legal under C&U regs.

The intake system on these cars is more than adequate below 300bhp, not to mention the issues with heat soak and MAF contamination from using aftermarket induction kits or filters.
dont need remap to map out sensor bolt it to outside of exhaust and will work grand jublie clip it on to outside works a treat 90% of renault clios have this done due to cat being f$%d lol gud luck with it

Cracking thread lol.
Anyway forget all that and do a stage zero on the car fits as it's what you will need to do before a map anyway replace all boost hoses as well with high pressure fuel hose from a motorfactors for about 8 quid and use some jubilee clips to!

Anyway as a good Dutch friend of mine would say "you lot are all mad, Ayi"

Stage zero first!

How does an O2 sensor work if it's clamped to the outside of the pipe? Or have I missed something?
