  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Highly amusing thread

Wierdly, the olden days of turbo lag have pretty much been reversed, with your 'average' naturally aspirated car suffering from 'rpm lag', while turbocharging has got so good that turbo lag is virtually unheard of. What they've basically done is start fitting (relatively) tiny turbos, then running them really hard. In addition, advances in wheel geometry have meant that smaller turbos can flow like older larger ones did.

I was going to reply with something along the lines of "I know you probably don't care, especially now it's gone...but it probably wasn't 'turbo lag', especially since they made it go away using software"...but Dan kinda beat me to it
