I wouldn't touch it! I was pretty well versed on the V70 specs back then and I don't remember that colour! Nautic Blue pearl comes to mind, but I don't know what that is. Any thoughts on the colour?! Halfords finest royal blue? In this climate I'd hope and pray you can do better.
Poor car.. |

Cheers for the honesty guys
I've just text those numbers given and it says its not been resprayed, stollen or scrapped. Its the colour I love tbh and leather seats is as much a must as having 7. More durable and easy to clean with the little ones lol. My mum wants me to spend a £2k but that means waiting till March when she can help but I have half of it and a banged up Primera at the mo and I can't see that much difference between the £1000 cars and the £2000 ones. This was 1 of the newer ones I've seen in the classifieds and altho the cosmetics needed looking at I thought it was a bargin. I'll be honest I didn't notice the milage either lol I've seen 1 in Leeds (I think) in the autotrader a simillar colour. Is that anyone here at all? |

Avoid it like the plague; I picked mine up 3 yrs ago with a FVSH at 172k, and it's now upto 227k, still with the FVSH.
Mine's got scuffs on three corners, and some surface scratches on the roof and on the sides, but otherwise it's much better condition, as the leather isn't knackered. Things to do/check on it when you get one: -Check the bottom radiator hose clip; on mine it rusted and emptied the whole coolant system at an inopportune moment! -Headlights: They yellow, and aren't that cheap to replace, but make a massive difference when they're changed!

As for the colour it looks like the same non-metallic dark blue as our 1999 S70. Pete

Stay Away from it!
Something doesn't look right about it, it's obviously had a hard life, not sure that the colour is right, the interior trim isn't standard XT, it's an ETM car. When considering a V70, worry less about the age and mileage, and more about the general condition and history. In many ways a pre-99 (pre-ETM) car is probably a safer bet. Be a little patient and the right one will come along! Cheers Jack |

and there I was just thinking it was cosmetics that was wrong lol
I'll be honest I've been put right off this now. I wouldn't have minded paying £700 for it or there abouts and changing the drivers seat and sorting out the unsightly bumpers but as you've all pretty much picked up on, its done loads of miles and I hadn't picked up on the service history. Cheers for the help peeps I'm gunna keep looking and I don't mind driving up and down the country to find the right 1. I've got a grand burning a hole in my pocket lol but by the end of Feb it'll be 2 so as you all rightly say times on my side and with 3 kids and 1 due in March I can't afford to buy a lemon. Thanx again |
