Phone a UK Volvo dealer and talk to them.

Hello everyone
It looks like the v70 is imposible to steal?!
We have tried everything but it appears that you need to get the car to a Volvo dealer whereby they use their equipment to re-activate a new remote 20 minutes later and you get a new remote and all is well!.

I want to reactivate this tread again.

Replaced the engine in my 850 to a turbo engine.
Got hands on a 850R ECU on ebay, but when trying to start with this ECU in the car it fires up and dies within 2 sec again.

Called Bosch and got comfirmed that it has a immobilizer in the ECU. My car from 94 does not have an immobilizer system so I need a way to disable or bypass the immobilizer function in the Motronic ECU.

Caveman, you seemed to have an idea how to do this?
