I have exactly the same problem on my S60 (hi-level working but two main brake lights not!) If its the relays, how do I go about replacing them, where are they situated etc (sorry I'm hopeless when it comes to electrics!)

Default Relays

They are in the REM (Rear Electronic Module) in the l/h side of the boot. Should be position RMI 5.

Hi guys,i had the offside brake bulb go so bought a bulb from Halfrauds and it was the wrong type so put the working bulb from the nearside in and this didnt work either.Investigation by the T5D5 technical team found the plastic around the bulb holder to be broken, after some plastic soldering its now working fine with proper bulbs from a motor spares.
Maybe worth checking out your plastic fixing around the bulb.

I have the same problem on my V70 for some time now. It started as an intermittent problem and after a while it turned permanent. I took my car to Volvo Essex Automotive Group in Rayleigh and they told me that the fuse box needs replacing at a cost of well over £600!!!, which I refused to pay and was charged some £85 for the diagnostic.
Anyway, I have purchased the relay, after having read the forum, but cannot find where it fits. Can anyone help with a picture or any other tips?
Thanks

Any idea of what the RSH slots are for? i have RSH6 RSH5 and RSH4 in but RSH 2,3 are not there, and some forum said that playing with RSH6 would make the lights turn back on, i played with that one and it did turn the lights back on till i released the brake pedal and depressed it again. Also, i i think i might have accidentally replace the lone bottom RSH into the wrong slot out of the bottom slots, any help guys?
