I have just ordered one thanks to this thread, for the record I offered $15 less than their price and they accepted it, so $80 = £50, bargain if it works ok.

I don't have a big red cable on the back of mine, I do have a big grey cable in the same position, am I to assume that is the ignition live and the one I am to use?

Talking

Received mine in the week, stupidly fast service seeing as it came from Hong Kong, 2-3 days I think it took.

Fitted it today with no bother at all, spliced into the big red (it is red not grey like I thought) cable and fitted the power lead into that for the unit then the cd changer lead goes into the port on the back of the HU. That was it, works brilliant, no interference and no messing. Sound is as good as a cd in the HU, if not, somehow, a little better/cleaner.

For £50 this is an absolute bargain.

Tried to fit my Parrot hands free at the same time, thats a whole other kettle of rancid fish!!

This has a headphone jack/AUX input and also a USB connection, both of those can be used to connect an MP3 player. I personally chuck my music onto an SD card because its quicker/easier/neater for me.

Fair enough, but if you are after a way to play your MP3 collection through your standard stereo I doubt you will find a cheaper way, next cheapest is the Xcarlink which is about £90.

Smile Hu 850 ??

The ebay product looks very interesting, (trem) do you think it would work with the HU850 in my S60? Not sure if it has the 8pin external changer socket as i havent had it to bits, looking on the supported list it doesnt mention the 850 The 850 has an external amp and more speakers, having .mp3 files on an SD card would be a nice easy way to go.

What comes up on the HU's display?, do you get track/filenames on there when its playing, or more like what track number or something like?

You set the directory structure on your PEN/SD Card as CD01, CD02 all the way to CD10, then chuck your files in these directories, as many as you want.

You select CD01 - CD10 as the disks on your head unit. The ebay box fools the head unit in thinking these directories are the 10 CD's in the changer unit.

The head unit can not support ID tags etc.. Just standard CD format. (Track 1 etc..)
