Bought genuine from FRF Swansea and picked them up from FRF Bridgend sadly i can't remember how much i paid. Kit? Top mounts and bearing, you've just done springs.

Your springs look fine, they are supposed to be shaped like that. The knocking noise is likely to be a drop link so keep those on your list, I used Meyle HD ones - £25-30 a pair and come with a four year guarantee.

I had this exact same, the top of the shock being on an angle against the top mount.
Had them changed and the knocking disappeared. In some instances, an increase in wear on the shock absorbers mean they will need to be changed also.

Right all fitted, new top mounts including bearings and fitted new meyle HD drop links. Then had the tracking done and, still a knocking from both sides, since adding Arcadias.
Anything else I need to check?

Where is the knocking coming from?
What profile tyres are you on? I had rubbing issues on mine on the rear, it was the 2 bolts holding a bit of the plastic lining on by the arch that were wacking the tyre every time I went over a bump. It made a knock/squeak noise. IIRC cars with factory fitted arcadias had the wheel arches rolled slightly. |
