Hello,
yeah, it still has the standard A camshaft ive been looking at the IPD cams and i think thats the way to go. With regards to fueling it doesn't seem too bad, On kickdown from 4th to 3rd i will get 15.5psi of boost and AFR seems to stay at 10.4 with no Detonation but that is with -2.70 Degrees Ignition timing above 4000 RPM. The A cam is 10.5mm lift where as the ipd cam is 11.95mm, the A cam drops off higher up in the rpm where as the IPD cam just keeps going and going, the IPD cam has a definite power and torque loss low down though, but the moment the turbo has spoiled up it's amazing. |

The T3 has more lift again without the low down power loss you get with the IPD cam. The low down loss with the IPD cam is not so great compared to the A or T3 cam in real world driving

Martin Smith maxed out the IPD cam that's in my 940 at about 440hp so the IPD cam provides more than enough scope but without the issue of lash caps. I'm not saying the T3 is bad or anything but it's not something I personally would want to run because of the lash caps. Sacrificing a little low down for a car that happily pulls to over 6k for my track and fast road use isn't an issue for me, I suppose it's horses for courses as to what you want really. |

It does use lash caps but I have not seen anyone have them come out. I have however had odd shims come out of the buckets but that is just on totally standard engines.
What I do not like with the lash caps is that is does make changing shims more hassle as you have to pull the cam out to do it |
