Just thought I'd finish this post off in case anyone has the same issue.
Spent two hours yesterday with the hose pipe, squirting it onto different parts of the car. Turns out its not the windscreen, but the roof rail mounts. Took them off, and found that on the driver's side rear mount the waterproof foam had perished and was letting water in. So I filled the mounts with silicon sealer and screwed back on again. Lets hope this works. |

Hi Andy,
I'm still having the problem with mine I thought it may be the windscreen but autoglass told me that just the seal couldn't be replaced. Did the new seal sort out your issue? Dan |

Well...I was out at the weekend driving to a wedding and is lashed down. I was driving for a good hour, and although when I parked up I couldn't feel any water this has fooled me in the past, and was expecting a pool of water in the footwell on the morning...
...luckily it was dry. So I was either lucky this time, or I've sorted it. Hope it's the latter as it's so frustrating! |

I found following link
Hello guys,
I have experienced same issue with my Volvo XC90 2.5T and been to my trusted mechanic who found no issues with cabling and etc. I was searching the net for something similar and I found following link: http://www.volvo-forums.com/t34018-w...-footwells.htm I hope to check this out around the weekend. I hope this will help some of you with resolving the issue.

I don't think the hose is twisted though as I've had a good prod, and I've managed three weeks with no leaks, so hoping I've sorted it.

Now I've got that out the way, I can tell you I've NOT fixed my leak! At least I know it's coming from the roof somewhere...water out the headlining again. Can the plastic GPS/antenna leak does anyone know? |

Mine did exactly the same. I did all the usual like clear the drain holes etc but no joy. I took the seat, glovebox and all the carpet out and with a sprinkler on the car, all I could see was where the water was dripping from - the bottom of the fan unit.
My solution, although agricultural, has been effective for the last 9 months. I got a 3" plastic cap and melted a little hole in it. I then fitted a small tube through the hole and cut a hole in the rubber pipe down there that drains something else out. The plastic cap is wedged between the carpet and the bulkhead and now the water comes in, gets caught and is redirected back out. Job done. |
