if you take the LPG out and revert it back to stock it will sell all !!!! day long its putting people off sell the gear ( lpg tank and fittings that go with it ) if need be but if you want it to sell and find a good home thats what i would do , not that i would ever fit LPG in the first place but im just trying to help point you in the right direction , i do hope i dont offend you just these engines are fantatsic i highly rate them as one of the best engines ever made todate

also some making good maybe needed but im very sure once the junk has been taken out you will have a queue round the block

happy selling and im very sure you will miss your car as there so nice to drive and own

happy new year
kind regards

robert

I have to say that I've been thinking of this estate for a little while but not knowing anything about bodywork I have no idea on how bit a job it is to fix the hole where the gas filler thing is

Does anyone have any suggestions? That is my main concern if I was to buy it and have my first job of ripping that plumbing out

I believe that Tony Barrett converted the car and it was also used by his daughter. Besides LPG being cheap and that combined with free tax, another simple reason wold be that LPG cars are exempt from the congestion charge. That commenced in 2003. That might save you about £1600 if you live and drive it around London, and the cost of that is soon to rise. Perhaps the seller could confirm that.

Correct:
- LPG conversion was done by Tony Barratt
- This car was used by his daughter
- LPG vehicles are exempt from London Congestion Charge
- Duty on LPG fuel is about 1/3rd that of petrol or diesel

Would probably take a couple of hours to remove the tank, plumbing, etc. Once that was removed, there would be a few openings (photos attached):
- Bolt holes in load bay floor where taken is fastened
- Openings for hoses & filling attachment inside & outside on driver's side of load bay
- Opening for hoses to come through firewall into if compartment.

I've resisted removing this as (a) it give the purchaser the option to keep it and (b) it the openings were to be "made good", there are probably other bits that one would sort at the same time (opportunity to address some of the surface blisters, etc. possibly)

Oops - some of the photos appear to be rotated 180 degrees - I'll try to sort that out in a bit.
