Good that you have found the source of the river:~
The advice also provided in the above post is well worth doing, if you have a compressor & wax gun it will get into places you never thought about - including arms/legs/face! Removing the door opening lower trims and pulling the carpet back will reveal large removable grommets, these give excellent access to the inner sills. A large rubber grommet also exists within the rear wheel arch (could be covered in sealer) and I believe one similar at the front? All quite easy to get at and not a great deal of work to complete but probably a summers day job. Regards Bob. |

Cheers everyone, thats high on my to-do list for the summer; theres a few little creeping bit of corrosion appearing which i think are the results of a couple of winters moisture ingress.. definately going to do a thorough job in the summer to prepare for the next biblical flood of a winter!
Often wondered if i could convert it into a DUKW.. My alternator failed the other day (another story!) but have replaced with a Woods one plus 4 new sets of brake pads and fitting kits (most of the pins and clips were totally corroded (and missing in one case!) and 4 new tyres should see the old goose ready for our Spring buzz round the Cornish gardens! |
