I'm just in the process of removing and painting mine, i also have the wallnut look (grim) painting mine a met grey. not sure if i'm going for gloss or satin laquer yet though. i'd also appreciate some step by step removal instructions if poss lol. If it's too difficult i'll end up masking out the whole inside and painting mine where it is.

Don't do that - you'll never get rid of all the paint dust.

Glove box trim - remove the 3 screws along the middle of the inside of the cover. This trim seems to stick to the vinyl on the cover but comes out if you prise it gently.

Central console trim - removal of the console is covered pretty well in the Haynes manual. Once the console is out the trim screws are obvious.

Radio trim is the worst and really needs to fascia removed as the trim screws are asymmetrical and can't be seen without the aid of an inspection light and a mirror.

A couple of slightly out of focus shots of my trim.

That's the crappy dark walnut effect plastic sprayed with wheel trim paint and clear lacquer.

Dust should'nt be a prob if i paint it in a spray booth, the extraction should pull the dust out.

I would like to keep it so it all looks standard, and i dont think volvo did a gold trim, i could be wrong tho
