Oh dear ... I see you haven't matured much, Brendan, since I had to kick you out of my club for sabotaging 1,500 posts.

Would this be a similar idea to my post on my own forums also yesterday?

http://www.wheelspin.ie/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1015

The big news is, I don't care (sorry!) At the end of the day it's about enthusiasm for the cars, not personal agendas, so I reckon if you're still beating that drum you're on the wrong footing to begin with.

As for those with a sectarian interest, the idea in our club came from a Northerner, so sorry also if that disappoints

I will of course say hi to any genuine enthusiasts present if you do all decide to go for the boat race.

Regards,

Tony.

jesus! dude are you for real??? lol, thought those "sectarian" days were well gone, not many people bring it up anymore especially in forums about cars??? wtf like...

Anyway, as for the Volvo Ocean Race, Galway is the final destination port, a big thing for Ireland let alone Galway City. I can guarantee that this forum (or your wee forum) are not the only ones organising a FUN event such as a meet in Galway. As for the idea? it's a great one no matter who thinks of it.

So I don't understand your animosity or berating towards this lad's simple post...

I live in Galway City & have been to many meets here for many cars I've owned over the years... Great place to do it & especially now that it's the Volvo Ocean Race coming up! but do be aware! meeting in Salthill, Bearna or anSpideal may not be such a good idea! This is a very LARGE event & all satellite towns/villages will be as full as the city itself... if not closed off to traffic...

btw, have you seen the size of these "boats"??? are you aware of the significance of this race ending here? do you know anything about sailing?

FYI FOR ALL INTERESTED IN INFO ON THIS SPECIAL EVENT:

Looking forward to all meets guys & lets leave the berating at home shall we?

Hope you don't mind me posting this Aengus

There's nothing like a neutral perspective, eh?

Thumbs down defamation of character

Actually I do mind so remove it promptly.

Not because of it's content but because of your attempts of defamation of my character, of which you know nothing about nor have you made any attempts to find out before your obvious smear campaign.

This is a thread about a Volvo meet & not somewhere where you think it's ok to "have a go" at someone you don't even know. Also, since all the cards are on the table now, thanks to your efforts, I see you have banned me from the Irish Volvo Club? cause I did what exactly on that forum? oh nothing? right, but ban me anyway...

Also, please refrain from using my name & go only by my username (that's what it's there for). Seems to me your aim is to get personal here & use VOC's excellent forum "to have a go"?

Since I do not have the right to reply to your "less than nice PM" of last night to me as yet (less than 30 posts here thusfar), I am confused with your comments.

Your pm suggests me to "mind my own business" amongst other slanderous comments of others, whom I do not know, however your reply on this thread to my post on a Galway meet (one of many) thanked me & agreed with leaving the "berating" nonsense at home.

These are conflicting statements - one public & one not.

But like you said earlier: "There's nothing like a neutral perspective, eh?"

now please, can we move on & get to what this forum is actually about? or would you like to meet up & discuss further?

Thanks, Aengus. (bingus666)

Give it a bloody break Tony...not another thread like this! Especially this...

Gus - the message Tony took a screenshot of appears to be from a thread (i.e. public) rather than a PM, right? Otherwise, why would there be a page number, and how would he have it? If it's public, quoting it isn't against forum rules.

cheers

James
